DatHornbyThomasGuy
So I wonder which model was which as Arry & Bert always get mixed up, as I see some people say Bert's Model has an Open Mouth, not Arry, and Arry with a Closed Mouth, not Bert. Also was there going to be a Release of Splatter & Doge, as the Hornby Models use Splodge's Faces?
NWR-Gordon-4
DatHornbyThomasGuy, welcome to the Hornby Forum. slightly_smiling_faceThat is a good question and I am sure this question has been asked in the past. Many sellers particularly on eBay get these two muddled up, but the only difference between the two models are the faces.R9066 Bert - Closed mouthR9067 ‘Arry - Open mouthI agree that Hornby ‘Arry’s and Hornby Bert’s faces look like Splatter‘s and Dodge’s and faces. I am not aware that Hornby were due to release these two. It would have surprised me if Hornby had, as they only appeared in the TV series once in the Thomas and the Magic Railroad film.NWR-Gordon-4 (HF)
ellocoloco
Just noticed Arry n' Bert are included with the current Thomas comic. They look like they could be painted up for the scrap line at the back of the layout............
DatHornbyThomasGuy
So I found out that just before Season 6, 'Arry & Bert's Faces where mixed with Splodges for some Face Sheets, I think this happened because 'Arry & Bert's models where Splodges (Apart from the chassis, Splatter's was new and Doge's was from Diesel), and someone must of got them confused. That's why Hornby uses Splodge's faces on 'Arry & Bert.
