HMS Iron Duke. Upgrade or conversion to Queen Mary?

Just brought this OOB made up Iron Duke. Not in bad condition, but crying out for some refinements, for which there is plenty of inspiration around. But as usual I'm looking at this and thinking what else I could make out of it. I'd love to build a Queen Mary or Lion. Thinking this hull would probably do the trick with a 40mm insert amidships, replace the deck, remove the secondary battery from the side of the hull. Must admit though, now that I'm seeing Iron Duke, like the basic look of it.

This model needs improved port holes, lots of added detail, replacing the molded ladder-ways, lowering the superstructure, detailing or replacing life-boats and funnels. Adding torpedo net booms might also add some additional interesting detail. And I take it back, Airfix can do bilge keels after all (Hood and Victorious don't have them, but should)!!
