Sailorman Posted June 1, 2021 Share Posted June 1, 2021 I've just completed my scratchbuilt MS Gripsholm of 1926 in her guise as a repatriation ship used during WWII. She was used to repatriate US and British nationals from around the world. In that role she was granted immunity from attack and bore the Swedish colours and other identification wording to ensue she was not attacked. At night she had to sail with all her lights on ..... and many other merchant ships would put as much distance as they could between her and themselves to avoid being seen and attacked!At 1:600 she joins my the other Airfix ships and scratchbuilt warships and liners.Now .........back to my Airfix DC-9!
