HM 6010 more than one ?

Each HM6010 has four ports. This means that each port can control one device, whether that be a Solenoid point motor or a lamp based 2 aspect signal [2 aspects means two lamp colours such as red & green].

The APP can currently connect to 1, 2 or 3 x HM6010s plus up to four HM6000 dual track controllers, making seven APP controlled 'Bluetooth' connected devices in total. This means that with 3 x HM6010s connected, you can then control up to 12 attached accessory devices. And with four HM6000s also connected, you can also control up to 8 track circuits [i.e. 8 x locos].

Note that on each HM6010 the fourth port [port 4] has a much higher current rating at 400mA which means that port 4 can be connected to a motor driven accessory such as for example a turntable. The other three ports being throttled to a continuous output maximum of 140mA. Additionally, each port has a small CDU [Capacitor Discharge Unit] circuit which provides a very brief pulse of current that is high enough [higher than the 140 / 400mA port continuous current limits] suitable for most Solenoid point motors.

Just to add to Chris’ explanation. You can also have different modules connected to different handheld devices, say for instance you wanted someone to run the mainline locos on one device and someone to shunt the yard on another device.

In this case you would scan for and connect to the module operating the mainline track sections from the first device and scan for and connect to the other module for the yard from the other device.

Likewise with points, etc, one device could be the signal box operating points and signal lamps modules in one part of the layout and another operating other accessories modules in another part of the layout.

Handover section to section from device to device is possible as below.
