No response no power

Hello I am a newbie I purchased a track and wanted to make it bigger the cars kept flying off the track so I purchased another track and some extention track and now it doesn't work at all can you add 2 tracks together? Did I burn up the power supply doesn't it have enough power? Please help

What sets have you actually bought and are using?

There are lots of different pieces of track and cars out there.

Pictures also help.
