Old Scalextrik car - fix/replace brushes

Hi there... I have become custodian of a Carrera Evolution 25312 set, which my kids have fallen in love with. Unf one of the cars has a broken wire connector to the brush unit. I can't see any advice/links on how replace these as they seen to be an older type, can anyone advise or point me at some guidance?

Hi There and welcome,

If you are talking about the red cable that is an easy fix.

Strip 3-4 mm of the insulation off, take the brushes, insert the cable so you see the copper at the bottom and then insert the brush i.e. ensure there is contact with the wire and the brush.
