Hairpin curve 180 degree squeeze

I have just replaced a squeeze hairpin curve as some... not all.. cars had difficulty travelling thru without stopping... the motor would still rev but the cars would need a nudge to get get over the join.... having bought a new hairpin curve I thougt this would remedy the issue but it still persists... I have 3 hairpin curves throughout my layout and I only experience the issue on one of them.. any thoughts please... thank you.

It sounds as if the guide blade fouling on something. If the cars are not Hornby Scalextric it could be because the guide is too long or too deep.

The other problem could be the table is not completely flat. A difference of only a few mm could cause cars to stall.
