andys steam dayz
HiNow we have had a set of Coronation Scot coaches isn't it time we had a compete set of Silver Jubilee coaches to go with the locos. All four silver A4 locos were released but the only coaches available are the wooden bodied Gresley coaches which are fantastic but I believe a new set of The Jubilee coaches would be great for all modellers who have s Silver Jubilee A4
The Doc
Your wish has been answered, but I hope you are feeling wealthy enough to be able to afford them!
Deepfat
Friends are these new coaches in just silver as per the silver jubilee of King George V or blue and silver for King George VI coronation?
Going Spare
Hornby describe the livery as Marlborough and Garter blue so the Coronation refers to King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1937.

flyingfox4475
Hornby did silver jubilee coaches a few years ago to go with the silver jubilee. They were not based on the proper silver jubilee set. Hornby's up and coming set of the Coronation set are in Marlborough and Garter Blue. The original silver set was repainted the same and all loco's were painted Garter Blue. So there is an chance Hornby could also make a proper silver jubilee set repainting the them silver.
brclass125
Unfortunately the Silver Jubilee Set is different to the Coronation set. The Coronation set is 2 articulated coaches, that is the 2 coaches share a bogie. The Silver Jubilee Set is made up 2 x 2 articulated coaches and a triplet set, then a coach was added to the rear pair to make another triplet set. Then they were slightly different. So new tooling would be needed. But not impossible as the Coronation is on its way.
Deepfat
OK that's really annoying & I am going to cancel my orders then it's silver or nothing maybe Hornby will get around to it before I am in the ground
