Analogue Functionality

Now the Scalextric Arc Pro set has a switch for analogue racing, so- what sort of stuff can I do in analogue mode? Obviously digital will have more options, but I was surprised to find out that analogue racing can be more than just putting the car in the slot and squeezing the throttle.

Background- oldie with old Scalextric who's looking to get into digital, but is interested in knowing what's open to analogue dinosaurs.
