Mark-1244007
Hi all. I have a been enjoying playing with scalextric again with my 4 year old. It’s a really long track, digital cars on it. It has one 4 car power base but it’s definitely got slower as I increased the size of the track recently. My plan was to get another identical PB abd power transformer and put it up the other end of the track so one of us can man the derailed cars. I want to use each PB to run separate lanes. So I would remove the wires from one that powers lane 2 and then do the same to the second PB but remove the wires that power lane 1. Would this work. Please any help would be great. Andy P.
Hi ThereI am a little confused... why would you power the separate lanes with w digital power bases? If you are keeping the lanes separate you really aren't using any of the advantages of digital racing (put another way, there is no way you can use lane changers and use 2 different pwoerbases because the signal is lost when the car crosses to anther lane). The 4-car powerbase was quickly discontinued as it had a list of problems that were resolved for the most part with the C7042 and later with ARC PRO.If you want a larger layout and you want to go digital you need to upgrade your powerbase.https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/scalextric-digitalhttps://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/app-race-controlIf you are not going to use digital features you could simply put two powerbases in as long as you keep the lanes separate.Good luck!
