Richard-1246498
Hi all , I'm pretty new to the forum however I had a small question about Wet sanding models , I prime my kits with GW primer and then proceed to spray at around 25-30 psi on my airbrush with Vallejo model air , I noticed the surface on my model was a bit gritty so I decided to give it a wetsand with a 1200 grit wet and dry sandpaper , what i noticed was paint began to come away and i was not pressing too hard , i tried this on two kits , one with fully cured paint and one that was painted a day prior , is this regular for acrylic paints?Regards Richard
Ratch
Vallejo primer is polyurethane based and does not like sanding. I use it and spray on as low pressure as possible - don't ask me numbers, just a puff. See my HMS Daring build in Ships, I've just primed with Vallejo grey primer. dogsbody
Yes, drop the pressure. The paint is partially drying before it hits the surface. Maybe thin it a bit more, too.
