03032 6 1/72nd Fairey Battle in Belgian Service (repost 2024)
dogsbody replied to Heather Kavanagh's topic in Aircraft
If you look through these Battle from Belgian Wings, you will see that most, if not all Belgian Battles had 6 short pipes for exhausts. Look at the exhaust area and look at the shadows on the panel below the exhausts. Fairey Battle I (belgian-wings.be) Chris- 3 replies

Humbrol Weathering Products?

Should I use this while looking in the Airfiix section? My main area of interest is aircraft, followed by Armour then Humbrol. But, when I click on the Unread Content, most of the stuff concerns trains. Am I doing something wrong? It's taking me a while to figure out the forum's new format. Chris

I'm not sure what I'm seeing on here. The main page now isn't the same as this morning. As for seeing Hornby & Scaletrix, I don't see that either. Chris
-
So, do Hornby and Airfix have separate forum? Chris
-
I posted it exactly the same way, both times, using the Drag & Attach option on the lower left corner of the Reply box. Chris
-
It's not there! This is the image I posted but I can't find it anywhere except when I click on my username, then click on the Attachment option, in the dropdown window. When do you think this forum will be getting it's 💩 together and make sure evenything works?
-
So, either yesterday, or the day before, just after discovering the new forum layout, I tried posting an image. It worked fine. But, the only way I can see it is if I go to my name in the upper right corner, click on it, then click on Attachments on the dropdown tab. I can't get to the page /topic where I posted it, to see if anyone may have commented on it. How do I do that? Chris
-
Well, I guess I'll get used to it. It is quite similar to other forums that I visit. Chris

When was this warning? Chris
-
I hear ya! This is my first visit since Friday and I'm not too pleased with the change. Some warning would have been nice. Chris
-
Has the forum changed? I know I haven't been here since Friday, but this ain't the same place. After logging in, it took a few minutes to find the forum. This kind of thing can make an old man like me quite grumpy! Chris

I use a sewing needle with the eye cut almost off to pick up tiny amounts of Krazy Glue and place where I need it. Chris

Soak it in liquid cement until it dissolves into a goop. Use that as a filler. Chris

Lack of paint numbers on instructions ?
dogsbody replied to Paul-357284's topic in Humbrol (Techniques, Tips & Craft)
And the paint call-out numbers are not always correct. P3, check the call-out for the colour to paint the upper fuselage that's under the rear of the cockpit canopy. Some of Airfix's Lancasters have it as #33 Matt Black. It should be #30 Dark Green. There are other call-out mistakes in other Airfix kits. Chris -

Interior green paint code
dogsbody replied to Andrew-350187's topic in Humbrol (Techniques, Tips & Craft)
I guess I'm not use to forums being so slow. Everywhere else is was faster than here. It's like when I first had Internet over 20 years ago. Chris
