Andy P.
Hi John,20 year-old track is likely the the "Classic" track with the two "loops" or "spoons" on the end, as opposed to the more modern "Sport" track that has a "tombstone" and rectangle connector.I think the old powerbase was part number C8014. The power supply might be C922.If you search your favorite online auction or retailer for Scalextric Classic Powerbase and/or power supply you should be able to find it.There were slight changes over the rears with power ranging from 12 to 16 volts but for the most part it really doesn't matter. There are also differences with some power bases and controllers simply being plugged in with what looks like a headphone jack or having bare wires that need to sliced in.Again, the principle is always the same.I think it is fair to mention that SCX aka Spanish Sclaextric used to make track out of the same molds so if you have an SCX power base and/or controllers they will work fine as well.Another option is to upgrade to a more modern powerbase such as ARC:https://uk.scalextric.com/community/advice/app-race-controlYou would need the Sport <-> Classic adapter pieces C8222 but it would work as long as the guide blades of the cars are black (or are painted black).Just a few words for thought...Good luck!
