You can by transparant, blank, waterslide decal sheet and print your own from a Word or Excel file on your computer using an inkjet printer. Make sure the decal sheet you buy is suitable for an inkjet ...... unless you have a laser printer ...in which case use paper for that type of printer.

Print out on plain paper until you are sure you have the right size for the model otherwise you'll waste expensive decal sheet.

When you print them make sure you let them dry well and then apply a couple of coats of clear gloss lacquer. Best by airbrush but if you use a brush try not to keep going over the letter to make sure they don't run. Once you've done that and everything is dry cut them out and apply like normal decals.

Black letters / numbers come up fine. For white letters you have to be a bit more devious.

Paint the number plate white and then on the computer make a black rectangle with white letters in it. When you print them the letters will be transparent but when placed on the white number plate they will appear white whilst the black of the rectangle covers the parts of the white number plate you want black.

Colours come out great too but only if they are on a white background.

This is an example of my home made decals. Sorry about the poor quality pic. If you right click on the image and click on "open in a new" tab you'll see it betterforum_image_635448849eff1.thumb.png.096b06c2ee61905d2988372a1da7a3d3.png
