Silver Fox 17
In one of the posts it mentions disappointment that the Pullmans will not have lights but cannot find anything mentioned about this. Is this correct and if so where is the information about it, thanks?
david_watts1
The three Pullmans in the starter set will not have lights as a cost saving measure, The ones available individually will have lights. I believe Simon mentioned it in one of the many interviews.
Gordon -1260520
Well that's not good. So you buy extra ones and they have lights but you're original 3 don't. Can't help thinking people are going to feel a little cheated

Can't help thinking people are going to feel a little cheatedThey can't really give you 3 lit Pullmans at £46+ each and a loco and track, controller etc for £215. There has to be compromises if you want a low introductory price. Personally, I think it's great value for money and can live without the lights or add them myself. I believe only the lighting strip is missing, not the pickups, so it should be fairly easy to add your own lights.
Fishmanoz
Maybe a bit more complicated than that? Are the lit ones like the OO lit ones - including tables with lit lamps on them, not just LED strips. And are the bogies the same with insulated wheels on one side and wipers on the axles. Leaving all that out of an unlit one would be a reasonable saving, leaving out only a LED strip not. If sales volumes warrant it, Hornby or someone will likely make a kit.
