Andy1707819599
A young friend of mine built and painted an Airfix Me109 in 1:72 scale. To complete the model he flat coated final painted kit in Humbrol's Matt Cote; however instead of giving the required result the kit now appears with a very high gloss finish. Can anyone advise me why this is?
peebeep
Without seeing the varnish in the bottle it's a job to say, but it could be a batch of varnish that has the wrong lable. Matt varnish should look cloudy at the bottom of the bottle, this is the matting agent. If it's not there, or hasn't been properly stirred into solution, you won't get a matt effect. Ratch
Andy, as your post is about Humbrol Matt Varnish (regardless what you put it on), I've moved the thread to the Humbrol sub-forum.
