Joining old and new track

I’ve finally dug my Scalextric out of the loft to set up again.

I’ve got some track from when I was a kid (70s) and some that some friends bought me a few years ago (2015).

Is there any way of connecting the two? Maybe a piece of track with ‘new’ connectors on one end and ‘old’ ones on the other?

Using the search here can help with a lot of questions you might have.

Search for the C8222 on this forum and wherever slot cars supplies are sold...:-)

Note that the slot on the classic (two spoon) track is 1-3 mm shallower and newer slot cars have guide blades that are 1-3 mm deeper so you may have to shave the guide blade to keep it from "bottoming out".
