P-Henny Posted February 5, 2023 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Item X6113 in the online Hornby shop is incorrectly listed as an "A1 A4 Flickering Firebox lead". The X6113 product code and the displayed image is correctly the 4 wire wired plug to extend the loco pickups and motor connections to a tender located decoder and was previously listed as a "Loco Tender lead". I know this to be correct as I have purchased X6113 in the past for that purpose. The reference to "Flickering Firebox" in the new listing is at best misleading. Going Spare Posted February 5, 2023 Share Posted February 5, 2023 Hornby have been aware of this confusing description for some time and have acknowledged it was unfortunately linked to the A1/A3 loco's flickering firebox probably because X6113 came back in to stock at the time those loco's were released and the poorly-worded identification of that part on the Service Sheet was adopted.Although the S/S (459) was used as an illustration of the application of X6113, the S/S itself has yet to be issued and ironically describes the part more accurately.
