TrainFan89
...how about some new Deltics in BR green and blue?Seriously, the current tooling is just out of date. Accurascale have done an amazing job and I think it would be foolish for Hornby to not update this classic loco.
The Doc
So if Accurascale are making the "ultimate" model, there's not much financial argument Hornby producing its own.
96RAF
As it is Dublo it will be metal body hence new tooling and hopefully a superb model. Coupled with the new TXS sound decoder it should sound good and perform well. Out of my price range though.
The Doc
With steam locos a cast metal body has the advantage of giving better traction. The weight of modern diesel models with the centre mounted motors and all wheel traction means that the extra weight of a metal body probably won't make much difference.
