Old Male Tank Kit, No. 01315-2.

Recommended Posts

Found it at a stand sitting in a box for a couple quid. Picked it up because it looked nice. Not sure if it's worth anything more than the £4 I found it for, I'm not sure if I want to build it or not because I kind of like how it is.

Any info on this? Is it worth keeping in the pack or should I stick it together? Can't say I'm expecting to make it look all too good, I'm not the best at this.

Is this the packaging you have?

It's a fairly simple build. There are accuracy issues, but it depends on what your approach to modelling is.

Its actually older. It first appeared in he 7th Edition of the Airfix Catalogue. I believe it would have been around 1968. It was in a polythene bag with a paper header. Ref number A15v. This is the header from the one my brother built back then.

1967 - I remember getting a baggy with the header as per your picture, for the then princely sum of 2/-.
