Took longer as work got in the way (outrageous I know). Enjoyed this one a lot, built OOB apart from adding extra height to the fighting compartment with plasticard and sprue glue to add a hasty weld line to it. Sprayed with Mr Hobby 78. I would say that the rubber tracks are slightly too long so consider shortening a tad otherwise builds up well.

That's a really neat job Andy. British Army paint schemes in ww2 are an interesting subject that I am still learning about. Is that a British colour or the original U.S. paintwork?

A bit of artistic licence here, the British paint being darker hides a bit of the details whilst the original US colours make the details pop a bit better. My original reference was..

My father, a RAOC driver in WW2 and beyond wouldn't have allowed it and would have kept me authentic. So any diorama I made him had to reflect correct colours. The second picture is one he accepted as the difference between British and US colourings and the first was a "That'll do I suppose".

I tried to give him dioramas of all the vehicles that he drove before he passed away (hence why my wishlist is for a Leyland Hippo).

The British dark green colour is interesting, it looks like a matt version of the post war bronze green. British Army colours in WW2 seems to be a more complicated subject than I thought.
