First foray into the Airfix / Academy German vehicles and decided upon a plain German Grey coating rather than the chocolate brown mottling as per guide and wanted to keep weathering to just dust as the unit / period in the kit was June so no mud on the Russian Steppes then. So preshading with Vallejo german grey with a hint of pale blue to intimate general paint fading and drybrushing / dust washes. As a consequence of the vast dust clouds at that time thought it more appropriate for the one and a half blokes included in the kit not to be visible so they now live in the spares box.

Went together well, no filler at all, a few instructions' vagaries to think about but nothing major. Link and length tracks really easy to assemble and look the part. Enjoyable, but; The "lollipop" on the front will come off many times as the mating surface is tiny. I think that it shouldn't be a solid circle either so if there was a next build I would use wire instead; And don't put the rack of three jerry cans on the rear deck in position until the turret has been installed as following the order in the instructions means that they will foul the rotation of the turret; There is no interior detailing either.
