Op Black Buck - well done Workbench

As one of the four journalists (the others being Martin Middlebrook, Alfred Price and Gordon Swanborough) invited by the RAF to interview Martin Withers and his crew in September 1982, I'd just like to applaud the Workbench synopsis of the raid. Of course, since then we've had Rowland White's "Vulcan 607" and I believe another tome on the raid has been published recently, where more details of the preparations and what happened have emerged. However, at the time, the emerging articles from the four of us gave as full an account as was possible. When asked of what his thoughts were on realising that he was no longer the reserve and was going all the way South, Martin Withers couldn't recall. It was a fellow crew member who prompted him "Well fellahs, it looks like we've got ourselves a job of work". Michael J. Gething, then Editor of DEFENCE magazine.
