Alanburford9101
Hi I haverecently bought a Flying Scotsman' LNER (London North Eastern Railway) 4-6-2 Class A1 loco. With DCC (Digital Command Control) med TTS Sound (Decoder Fitted). Can I program this loco with my Z21 controller. Any thoughts on this? ntpntpntp
It's an NMRA compliant decoder and an NMRA compliant DCC system, so I would be extremely surprised if you cannot program the decoder. Loading sounds to decoders is different and more proprietary, but general programming of addresses and behaviour should be fine. That's the whole point of DCC, the track protocol and programming protocol is standardized. There are some cheap DCC systems that cannot fully program decoders (just set the address) but the Z21 is a fully featured system.
