Steven-1307485
Hi, I am trying to fit one of these into a small steam loco but the decoder is slightly to big. I noticed that the end of the decoder (the opposite end to the wires) seems blank. Can I shorten the length of the decoder by trimming this end by 6/7mm without damaging it? Thanks. dBerriff
No. This is where the Bluetooth antenna (aerial) is.
SteveM6
A question that has been asked many times. Simple answer - no. That is where the Bluetooth ariel is located so cutting it off will destroy the decoder and cannot be repaired. Hornby do have plans for a potentially smaller decoder using smaller but more expensive components but there is no indication as to when they may be available.
