Chris99 Posted July 16, 2015 Share Posted July 16, 2015 Following up on admin's point 3, check the axles are clean and not clogged up with hairs & fluff.Scalextric brand cars do slow a bit as the motor warms up - I've measured 10% to 20% reduction in speed after 10 mins continuous running - but they shouldn't slow to a crawl. Assuming you have the C7042, are you using two transformers?Clean braids are key. I push some masking tape on them a few times to lift off the black carbon gunk.
