  1. Notification of replies to posts and being able to subscribe to sub forums and threads is long overdue. Most forums have them by default and they are very important in facilitating timely interactivity. Sorry for the corporate speak but maybe the suits will appreciate it 😉
  2. See my post above. It will give you everything you ask and more. There's also a digital edition.
  3. Googling will usually help. There is more than one Platinum set but this one shows two 997's: C3132 (Cup no1) & C2899 (Cup no2) The Scalextric Ultimate guide book, now in it's 8th edition, is also a useful reference.
  4. Excellent rewriting of the instructions now available here - much more user-friendly. Thanks!
  5. Hi Maple Man, No, at least not directly. As far as I know it's only available in Android or iOS at the moment. I haven't heard of any plans to launch a PC version . Maybe Admin could comment? You could try an Android emulator on the PC. I didn't have any luck as my Bluetooth dongle wasn't v4 BLE compliant, so it wouldn't connect to the base. Also, I got a load of adware when I installed the emulator ☚ī¸.
  6. With updating the ARC Air BLE firmware to v2.3, the ARC app now connects to the power-base on my Moto E2 phone is 😀 Thanks! I politely suggest that a non-technical native English speaker reviews the powerbase updating instructions to make them clearer for Joe Public. E.g. take out the unecessary technical words like "Downloading to nrf51822 chips" and phrases like "Select the device again, which is now called DfuArcBLE and is the same chip but in bootloader mode", "Go into the DFU mode" etc "Put the file to your Dropbox" also confused me - I don't have a Dropbox. Better would be something like "Download the file to your phone/tablet"
  7. Just got a MotoX 2nd gen phone with Bluetoooth 4.0 LE and Android 6.0. It shows up under Bluetooth devices and pairs with the ARC app there, but the ARC app itself doesn't connect at all. (My Hudl 2 works fine) I know it's not on your compatibilty list, but is there some setting on the phone that needs tweaking or is there some other requirement that it doesn't meet?
  8. Just for info, Tesco has released an official update for the Hudl2 from android v4.4 to v5.1 - Lollipop . Most of my applications worked ok after upgrade except ARC! I couldn't add drivers and it crashed after trying. There may be a simpler way to correct it, but thankfully just uninstalling and reinstalling the ARC app solved it and it seems to work fine now - phew! Btw, is this device list uptodate? https://www.scalextric.com/uk-en/sets/scalextric-arc-one/scalextric-arc-one-powerbase.html#product_image_3
  9. There's an extracted Scalextric ARC apk linked from here: >Link The app has been updated since but it should be good for testing devices that have Bluetooth 4 - BLE
