Roddydog
Hi All,I am a beginer and am at the stage where I have added thhe rigging to the ship and now need to run lines from deck to the top of the mast - to carry signal flags etc., The diagram in the instructions show these lines bowing in the wind - can anyove offer any advice on the best way of doing this? If I put them in straight then I wont be able to get the sails in place!Do I just cut a piece of rigging thread to the approximate length required, lay it out with the appropriat ecurve and then give it a coat of PVA to fix it in place?Anny advice welcome. Lee Weeman
Im keeping this post on alert for me, I to would like to know how to this (when I get that far). Im still having the painful moment of putting my upper and lower deck into the sides of the ship. Id presume you would fit the sails first, and then do the lines? But I may be wrong. With how you explained to install the lines, does seem a good idea!. Try a 'trial and error' on something else first.
stephen john roane
maybe using thin wire bent to shape 1st then painted to match rigging i.e. matt black mayhelp resemble wind in the sails effect .Have not got that far yet in my build , other wise maytry clear fix and pin nails to form a curve and set it stiff, ( if this will work? ) S.J Roane.
