christopher_holmes
I'd love to see a 1:24 Lysander. Such an iconic aircraft, and so few kits available! What do others think?
Allan-1274908
I would certainly agree. The Lysander played a big part in WW2, especially concerning its work with SOE in ferrying its agents in and out of occupied Europe. It would be great to see the Lysander in the Airfix catalogue taking its place along side the other war time greats.
Hurricane Boy
Hi ChristopherYes we are short of a good Lysander. I would rather see it in 1/72 but to each their own …. But good choice. It has come up a few times this year in the wishlist section Back in the day, Hawk produced a 1/48th scale Lysander in standard plastic and chrome plated finishes. The chrome was supposed to represent high speed silver dope finish of some Canadian production. It was a bit too reflective for my taste…maybe ok for a T-bird or F-104 which they also offered in chrome finish. Had to be very careful prepping plated glue surfaces and use the glue sparingly and accurately. Tim
