JWRStation
I have RM and E link with the standard 1 amp transformer. I require to control and operate sound on up to 10 loco's which trips out as the transformer connot supply the required amperage. There is a 4 amp power supply available but it is not clear if this can just be plugged into the e link in order to run up to 4 amps through the e link or, if the additional power module is required between the e link and the track. Fishmanoz
JWR, remove the 1Amp and replace it with the 4. Track connection doesn't change. Will be obvious when you actually see it.
Chrissaf
Plus, if you actually look at the P9300 product page you will see that this PSU is specifically stated as being a replacement 4 amp power supply for the eLink one.

96RAF
And if you read the RM manual it also talks to using the 4 amp PSU with the eLink when you have over many locos to run - so JWRStation less time playing trains and more study time on the manuals. Fishmanoz
JWR, members here are very reluctant to give simple yes/nos, although I got my reply on one only line.

As seen above Fishy it rolls over onto two. It all depends upon your screen set up - you must have the 32" iPad.
Fishmanoz
Picky RAF, picky. And the 36" iPad and it only filled half the line.
Tarabuses
Is a 4 amp power supply the max that can be used with eLink or can I use a 5 amp supply that I already have?
Fishmanoz
Welcome to the forums Tb. 4 is the maximum within Hornby specifications.
