I just wondered how reliable the arc powerbases seem to be regarding this? Andy P. Posted May 4, 2016 Share Posted May 4, 2016 I had the same issue. Mechanical lap counters didn't work for all cars; the faster ones could cause 2 laps to be counted. The IR based ones were reacting to shadows and were unreliable.I have 2 ARC ONES and as long as the guide blades/pins are black they have worked absolutely fine for all brand of cars I have tested with the exception of 1/43 Artin/Cartronic 6 volt cars... all other brands have been fine!The added ARC features make for hours of fun too!
