Easy Change Pick Ups

I am interested to get others thoughts about the above as all new cars that come out seem to have the easy change pick ups, which in some ways is good but based on the cars I have I tend to think the best pick ups are the ones used on the older GT 40's with the spring as I think they handle an respond better.

I don't race professionally so I don't cange the guide blades like some do.

With the exception of one set (the START Rally Cars) that I bought used all have worked fine. I do feel the braid wears quickly but that is partially because my track is very dirty and some joint stick up.

I did break the guide blade out of the chassis on a Mercedes DTM car but a combination of epoxy and superglue fixed it.
