Chrissaf
A slightly revised version of the RM installer has been posted today on the forum download link. The file properties still show it as being version 1.65.1.0 (same as the one it replaces)..I have no information about what is different in the updated version. Peter Ruifrok
Did anyone notice a difference with the previous version?
RDS
Did anyone notice a difference with the previous version? With correct configuration control, there should not be any difference at all, if it is still version 1.65.1.0.
Chrissaf
The problem is that HRMS have shown time and time again that they do not consistently apply effective configuration control. The difference may be no more than an updated loco database. Who knows, only HRMS can say. Trouble is they keep their cards close to their chest, and rarely make any comments on what these minor amendments include.
Peter Ruifrok
But no one noticed a difference? I anyway haven't.
St1ngr4y
The only difference I've noticed is that when RM runs, it displays 1.65 at the bottom right of the screen, with Rev 1 if you hover the mouse cursor over it, whereas the previous version displayed 1.65.1.Ray
Chrissaf
That's interesting Ray, as that change reverts the way that configuration control is displayed back to HRMS previous normal modus operandi. That is to say, the way that they used to represent revision levels.
St1ngr4y
Hi Chris, There was a stage when I had 1.65.1 on both my Master and Slave pcs and the slave kept complaining that there was a different version (1.65) on the Master than what was on the Slave. But after acknowledging that message the slave still worked ok. Ray
Nick_
I had the same master/slave problem with 1.65.1 then after installing the 21st March version the problem went away.
96RAF
I do wish HRMS would keep us more in the picture. It may prevent us chasing our tails over which revision is what version And are we up to date or do we need to be.
