81F
Can someone suggest a DCC chip for the Electrotren (H0 1:87) Steam locomotive “L.Aguirre” 0221? I have tried both Bachmann straight and rght angle chips as well as a small gaugemaster one but cannot get the body back on. The Bachmann right angle one fitted but did not work until I turned it round and ten I couldn't get the body back on. I notice that there seems to be a recess behind the back plate so wonder if a chip would din in there but I would need a six pin with a plug and leads. Howbi
This might fit...........HB/media/tinymce_upload/a43307304fd22c92067fcce66d88f61d.jpgOn second thoughts, it might not if yours is a six pin socket....... 🤔.........HB
Howbi
Look at this, might be cheapest option as you already have the 6 pin decoder, it's just the harness.......from DCC Concepts..........HB/media/tinymce_upload/18e9c4f9ced9544ee72b58ff7b29ebf1.jpg
Michael_A
Have you looked at the Bachmann 36-568?
81F
Have you looked at the Bachmann 36-568?Yep! it was the first one I tries. The trouble is that it is too long with the top fouling the underside of the smoke box. The extension wires were a good idea but I needed six pin to six pin not eitht to six. And even with 6 to 6 that combined length made it too big to fit behind the fire box. However, I've now solved the problem with a very expensive ESU six pin chip which has a plug and wire rather than being direct fit. It was still difficult getting the body back on but the loco is now back together. Many thanks for the suggestions
