Clownfish01
Hi all.Why don't manufacturers release multipacks of SO/SK express stock, for example with BR Mk1s, as most train formations are composed mainly of them.Your thoughts please?
Postman Prat
Probably because they make more money selling them as individual coaches? ☹️
walkingthedog
How many would you put in a pack?
LCDR
My ideal would be a three pack with a brake third / second, a composite, and a brake third / second. The Southern Region operated a large number of Mark 1s marshalled in this way.56 3 car sets 515 to 571 were formed BTK - CK - BTK25 4 car sets 866 to 891 were formed BTK - CK - SK - BTKThere were also a few Mark 1s marshalled in sets with other carriages (Maunsell & Bulleid)Sets were branded with the set number on the ends either side of the corridor connection. Clownfish01
With br mk 1s you could have a three pack SK set, plus 1/2 BSKs plus 1/2 CKs and you've got a 5-7 coach train, perfect length for many people
