ian_ashley
When R8101 fitted to R3262 type 31 locomotive, loco rattles and judders at slow speeds and lights work on one end of the locomotive only.CV 54 (back EMF) changed to one with no improvementWhen Hornbty 8 pin decoder fitted - everything works perfectly. Lights at both ends, smoothness at low speeds is almost perfect.Anyone had similar problems and what has been done to sort them out?
Howbi
Ian..........welcome to the Forum.........I cannot find CV54 in the instruction manual, do you mean CV150 ?.... this is the one that is usually set to =1 this can improve start-off and low speed response.....nothing to do with Back EMF.............also, in CV29 speed steps must be set to 128 for the lights to work correctly but if you have not altered CV29 then it's default is correct...........HB
96RAF
You may have a faulty decoder. You should contact HCC and arrange for it to be returned for a free reprogram.Admin did post about this a while ago but the post seems to have gone AWOL.Rob
