walkingthedog
This would be better in the General or DCC section. Hopefully a moderator will move it.

SteveM6
Very easy conversion. Hardwire a small decoder (I used one from Hatton’s) between the pickups and the motor. Stick it to the floor of the cab with some double sided tape and hide it from view with a couple of crew figures with their feet removed.
Fishmanoz
A little late but adding some detail: - Unsolder all connections from the motor and discard the electronic suppression components, the decoder has its own- Connect the pickup wires from one side to decoder red and the other side to decoder black (doesn’t matter which way around)- Connect orange to one motor connection and grey to the other- Test and, if the loco runs backwards, swap orange and grey- QED
