RocknRoll
The wiring connections for converting my non DCC 0-4-0 loco to DCC appear straight forward but I am not sure if the capacitors should be retained or discarded as there seems to be conflicting advice. So the question is do I keep all the capacitors, some of them or none? All help gratefully received. Thank you. Chris.
Howbi
The capacitors are only there to suppress TV/radio interference.......they can be removed as the decoder has built in suppression anyway........HB

96RAF
You can easily fit the TTS decoder in an 0-4-0 as uts about the same size as an R8249, but finding space even for a cube speaker may be a challenge. I've been trying to fit TTS to the Collectors Club 0-4-0 diesel for ages and still not done it. Rob
RocknRoll
You are right, it appears that for ease the decoder and speaker will have to be fitted to a permanently connected wagon behind as there is no room in the loco itself. I have fitted an 8 pin decoder socket in the wagon making for easy replacement in case the decoder has to be replaced at any time in the future. Thank you again for your help and advice.
