Schuie52
Hi all I have just converted a Lima class 47 to dcc and have serviced the loco before the conversio, I tested it out on dc and all was rosy now the loco is a bit erratic starting and stoppin, I also fitted lighting to it and this goes out and then comes back when the loco starts which leads me to believe it’s a pick up problem it’s not the track as all my other loco’s run fine.any suggestions would be welcomed schuie52
WilliamDavid
I have a number of Mainline/Dapol Class 56 locos.I have fitted dcc decoders to them, and changed the bulbs to LEDs.These have a poor pickup arrangement, two wheels at the front for RH rail, and two wheels at the back for the LH rail.I find I get the effect you describe, and have to be vey fussy with track and wheel cleanliness. The levelness of the track and points is also important. 2e0dtoeric
Which decoder have you fitted? Maybe it is borderline on the power available/being demanded - and is shutting down to protect itself?Which controller are you using?
