Colinchan
Need advice as to recommended Hornby TTS decoder for the R3400, as there does not seem to be a dedicated one.. Also any tips on fitting speaker etc within the tender would be welcome..
96RAF
R8115 Merchant Navy is as close as you will get in TTS.Your tender is probably already ready for sound, but be aware getting the top off has proven to be a difficult task even after the screws were removed. Edit: just spotted your other post saying you already have the top off, in which case you will be well aware of if the tender is sound ready or not.Rob
new lad on block
Hi, Hornby in the past have released models with the XS sound decoder. These are R2997XS, 34040, Crewkerne, & R3160XS, 34108, Wincanton. As yet no Rebuilt BB/WC class has had a TTS decoder fitted. As already stated Merchant Navy the nearest. It may be possible to find sound chips from the XS models on the auction site. Chrissaf
Just for completeness of information, the XS models used ESU Loksound decoders.
