TTS Vent van

I just received my vent van but am unable to adjust the volume. I have a NCE Power Cab and have changed the generic CV and individual ones but it doesn’t sound any quieter. Tried ringing Hornby Custome Care but in the end they suggested changing the speaker!  I’ve used both Operating Mode and Test Track but makes no difference.

Make sure the van is making good contact with the track and that the wheels, wheel backs and pickup wipers are clean.

 

Can you successfully change any other CVs, such as the address on CV1.

 

Does your controller support resetting a decoder by writing value 8 to CV8.

 

Have you tried a reset of the controller.

For anyone with the current vent van but wondering what the new vent van sounds will be...

R6925TTS (new) product page has no details except the new livery.

 

R6888TTS product page is the existing van and livery but is listing a sample of 13 playable sounds that presumably may be on the new vent van as the passing steam train is not on the original van.
