ellocoloco
Hi Kevm Measure the thread and try Ebay. A quick search turn up 1mm nuts, but there must be plenty others out there in an assortment of sizes. Lima would have used something that was available off the shelf when they built the loco. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1mm-1-2mm-1-4mm-1-6mm-2mm-2-5mm-3mm-4mm-5mm-Hexagon-Brass-Full-Nuts-Hex-Nut/283060627193?_trkparms=ispr%3D1&hash=item41e7ba66f9:m:mYHalILlcDpfnqwqxPkyhQQ&enc=AQAEAAACQBPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qXFEG99%2FZSbYPLX8xJao6%2FV2OngubkHpfAsMgrD8r0icleafnfM3UqjnJKVo7J9mLXD%2F0x27TvZe9rucHfB26PACqU9Hs6JfZf5%2FRZEDvWnRqyRq7tUYie%2Fxoe%2FRalavCJ%2FuHMoIdrjZzYvMVInL37cnQtXYA6RVo3iyfHGBG0eiKSxMY7yFocCMYE8O13pK%2FEJv9i55aw%2B5kUgqKF1vjjn6cMQ%2BnAQ7lnsWJT3%2BK3WfQrh8kSuB3PLXCDkyhcfEWAbpK9CsoSohmtdLGhekL3zEI%2FeStdTtpK%2FsxcWOR7PASc44z%2Bhz0KgX82fhIYMo26oOigkUPVkJuSjOR4y37FvS5ZHhw83bqM5z5kXO%2BUhH9G5zocyt7OdDZixMPyBDFEZggm4VANZHYpuITj2yZx63U2GhKfL1Q5stu7ECfEZdatx9zRfwQS4FzNvj86pLyizESp%2FBcS%2F41RhnbPWhiE9%2BzESiRFhCoutHZWzfbhltXd8u2feotzctr3zsJRlqpthIEz%2F45TNQ3Th7VKxECiqk%2BjnsV4hYlrjvMui5m9D%2BZZqsMn%2FcchelybTa4bekGEZwS1r1d9eEo4ZNaFb3y00CKkFtBen7h1aNALuvSmOo6j0dV%2BV2QLUPX61pnH0FyU8WF4we8x5BBuSowKHMoY%2F9WAhaUAvNuGdIbbfXyShF1SpbrJ45kxv9DRGMVlaCgi1lbi6EmPesr4KqAx8et%2B9GQcKojNeU2m8kgDBIg5UPw%3D%3D&checksum=2830606271932d6894bf566740808432795feabac3bc&enc=AQAEAAACQBPxNw%2BVj6nta7CKEs3N0qXFEG99%2FZSbYPLX8xJao6%2FV2OngubkHpfAsMgrD8r0icleafnfM3UqjnJKVo7J9mLXD%2F0x27TvZe9rucHfB26PACqU9Hs6JfZf5%2FRZEDvWnRqyRq7tUYie%2Fxoe%2FRalavCJ%2FuHMoIdrjZzYvMVInL37cnQtXYA6RVo3iyfHGBG0eiKSxMY7yFocCMYE8O13pK%2FEJv9i55aw%2B5kUgqKF1vjjn6cMQ%2BnAQ7lnsWJT3%2BK3WfQrh8kSuB3PLXCDkyhcfEWAbpK9CsoSohmtdLGhekL3zEI%2FeStdTtpK%2FsxcWOR7PASc44z%2Bhz0KgX82fhIYMo26oOigkUPVkJuSjOR4y37FvS5ZHhw83bqM5z5kXO%2BUhH9G5zocyt7OdDZixMPyBDFEZggm4VANZHYpuITj2yZx63U2GhKfL1Q5stu7ECfEZdatx9zRfwQS4FzNvj86pLyizESp%2FBcS%2F41RhnbPWhiE9%2BzESiRFhCoutHZWzfbhltXd8u2feotzctr3zsJRlqpthIEz%2F45TNQ3Th7VKxECiqk%2BjnsV4hYlrjvMui5m9D%2BZZqsMn%2FcchelybTa4bekGEZwS1r1d9eEo4ZNaFb3y00CKkFtBen7h1aNALuvSmOo6j0dV%2BV2QLUPX61pnH0FyU8WF4we8x5BBuSowKHMoY%2F9WAhaUAvNuGdIbbfXyShF1SpbrJ45kxv9DRGMVlaCgi1lbi6EmPesr4KqAx8et%2B9GQcKojNeU2m8kgDBIg5UPw%3D%3D&checksum=2830606271932d6894bf566740808432795feabac3bc (thats a really long link...) The coupling rods disappeared from my Lima 09 which made it a little slippery with only 1 axle driven..........!
Chrissaf
ellocoloco,Just for future reference. It is not necessary to publish the whole URL link on the displayed page. Any text can be assigned to that very long URL..For example this text here will take you to the very same eBay page that you posted..Look at TIP 13 in my 'How To' page to see how it is done. walkingthedog
Chris I know how to make a link clickable using the chain link but how do you assign the link a name like "here"?
Chrissaf
Copy the actual URL you want to post to the 'clipboard' i.e you have highlighted the URL text and copied it to the clipboard using the 'Control C' key combination..Now write the text that you want to make clickable..... "here"....for example..Highlight the "here" text so that the 'chain link' tool becomes clickable..Now open the 'chain link' tool and use 'Control V' to paste the URL saved in the clipboard to the top "link URL" text box in the tool..Now use the pull down 'Target' box to select 'Open link in new Window'..Then click 'Insert'..The text word 'here' then becomes clickable..The same technique can be used to make anything on screen clickable, even an image. Click the image below as an example. Notice that when the cursor moves over the image, it changes to a clickable pointing finger../media/tinymce_upload/f646b4d92dbcbc67f2a427b8f384da92.jpg.Reading the description makes the process seem long winded, but it isn't really. It takes far longer to describe than it does to actually do it. It is only a very slight variation on they way most normally use the 'chain link' tool box. ellocoloco
@Chrissaf, I've been trying with the links but feel the instructions are pretty vague. I have tried putting it in the 'chain link box' but I don't see any difference after I apply or insert..... Once I have copied the link I wish to paste, what exactly is the process to produce the short link? Thanks

walkingthedog
I am using an iPad and don't have Control V etc. Thanks anyway. I'll have a practice. When ever I post a link it is always clickable without having to use the chain link.

Rana Temporia
When i had a similar problem with several continental locos I’d bought as a job lot I took them to an Engineer friend of mine who checked the thread for me. I don’t know what the tool was called but I have some large ones in my box of BA taps, they are circular with a thread in the centre and they turn down the screw/bolt and you find the one that fits. (I hope this makes sense?). The nuts I needed were 1.6mm and easily found. I think the Lima ones are bigger and will probably also be a metric thread so it might be worth asking around if anyone you know has these particular tools? The nuts will be pennies off the internet but you will need the right size.
Chrissaf
What you describe are called "Dies" as in "Tap & Die set".
96RAF
You could buy the most appropriate set of these i.e. small BA or metric according to loco age.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thread_pitch_gauge
walkingthedog
I purchase a box of assorted metric nuts, bolts and washer for a few quid. Very useful.
JJ73
@ Chris :- Oh I did not see that other wise I would not have said that!!!@ Kevm :- Like W. T .D. say above - that reminds me - if I remember correctly - you can go to B&Q where they do different sizes of small bags & different prices & you can fill them with screws, nut & bolts
