Mr. Fink-Nottle
Hi. Attached are photos of an Intercity power car which is a front-runner at the moment. I found this out when I tried to run it. When I took off the shell, they presto the brown wire was loose! Whereabouts on the motor would it be attached? Please, just very simple answers to a non-technician! Thanks. /media/tinymce_upload/bef0afb7e71fcee6b8cb6212cdb5d035.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/109a3ed0aaf3a84a15a1283ec604b9bf.jpg/media/tinymce_upload/9dab822026b2248fdf0273cae4eb656a.jpg
walkingthedog
To the right hand silver tag, second picture I reckon. Put the loco on the track, turn on the power and touch the tag with the wire. See if ot moves. Simples.
Ruffnut Thorston
I agree. There should be a spade type connector on the brown wire. This would be a push fit onto the brush holder tag. The same type of connection as on the other brush, the black wire connecting the left hand brush to the motor block, and so to the wheels without the traction tyres. The wiring on the power car has been simplified, no lighting fitted.
