WestRail 642fan Posted January 26, 2020 Share Posted January 26, 2020 I think most can agree, we need some more LNER Stock so my wish is for the LNER Qaud articulated stock designed by Gresley for GNR and the the LNER all steel coaches used by the Silver Jubilee and LNER's Coronation set. LCDR Posted January 27, 2020 Share Posted January 27, 2020 Articulation does create a few problems for models especially where layouts are confined to a maximum of an oval on an 8' x 4' board, where a train of three or four coaches are about the most that can be accomodated in a station platform. The suburban Quad-Art with short underframe compartment stock would be just about do-able, but the express corridor stock might be difficult to accomodate. I wonder just how many people will be able to fit the new APT 7 coach set comfortably on their layouts? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
NWR-Gordon-4 Posted January 27, 2020 Share Posted January 27, 2020 I wouldn't be able to get the new APT around my layout realistically. A seven car high speed train is too long for my layout.
