LCDR
The Southern had very few Specially Constructed Wagons and used MAC or WELL interchangably for Machinery wagons, and CROCODILE for Weltrol wagons.

Tony57
Great information as useual LC&DR. Matbe the Hornby development team could produce one specilist wagon a year as the Hornby year wagon rather than a relivery of an existing wagon. AndyMac1707817969
Did many of these type of wagons survive, there was one at Shildon for transporting boilers but it disappeared, hopefully to get restored or at least find a home undercover
LCDR
Will do WTD, AM Yes a lot of these wagons have entered presevation, and a look at the Vintage Carriage Trust Wagon Register can be quite an eye opener. Unfortunately the Website where the register is stored is faulty at present. /media/tinymce_upload/06905c19e94e3fe308bdf6d198e40ef7.JPG This is the Boiler Set (BOILER EB) at Locomotion Shildon in 2005. AndyMac1707817969
Maybe one day we might see a model of a wagon such as the boiler carrier in OO. Bachmann did a Schnabel boiler / transformer carrier several years ago in HO, only one I know of

LCDR
No, however they did make the Lowmac MS/SG/EU (various numbers including R6075) which was an old Airfix model (54330). Triang used to make a freelance version of the Crocodile / Weltrol (R118) , and a overly short version of the Trestrol EC (R242) , both of which got turned into various Battlespace wagons. Using some broken Battlespace vehicles a lot of plastic cement and lots of plastic microstrip, I converted the short Trestrol EC s into a scale length Trestrol EC. Mainline made a GW Crocodile H / BR Weltrol WH, which found its way into the Bachmann range. Bachmann also make the FNA nuclear flask transporter, and the bogie Warflat tank transporter. Oxford Rail / Hattons make the bogie Warwell
JJ73
Do you mean like my old Airfix Model :- /media/tinymce_upload/7568bc5c2f19b77a2b110927e919b2cd.JPG
LCDR
Yes, the Airfix Lowmac EU, is identical to other Lowmacs of that type . This is one, but with the full UIC lettering because they were registered to work to the Continent. /media/tinymce_upload/e1701df4ff3aafe460097e6e08eaf4af.jpg
