Airfix Forum Gallery 2020 (Pandemic Special!)

Quick question for the Mod's/ Admin. Can we only post Airfix Kits in this virtual show, or can we include other manufacturers' made up kits if we don't promote the brand?

Just post up regardless, if they get approved we have an answer.

It looks like PMMs images don't need approval, and appear at the time of posting.

Whoever is approving images (at the moment) doesn't appear to know an Airfix kit from any other brand. I had to hide five posts by someone promoting their own AFVs for sale on Sunday.

Great images everyone!  😀

The Community Moderators on all of the Hornby Hobbies‘ Forums, do not have image approvals at all, never mind only on one thread. If you post images, but do not have the image approving filter removed, then you have to wait for the Adminstrator to approve your post before it appears.

Not an Airfix kit .... this is my latest scratchbuilt liner to 1:600.  As such it sits nicely alongside my Airfix 1:600 liners.  Gosh how I wish they'd produce a few more ...... It is a model of the Maxim Gorky ..... the ship Bush and Gorbachev signed the end of the cold war here in Malta.

The moderation of images does seem to be taking longer recently. There doesn't usually seem to be a lot of picture contributions to the Forum every day, so a competent person could probably do the job in ten minutes or less. It's a bit of a sad reflection on Airfix's customer care policy that they can't seem to be bothered.

Random selection of models from my collection (mix of Airfix and non-Airfix).

I guess we need to cut Admin some slack in these rather extraordinary times. Our pics get up eventually. I guess the only other way would be to allow everyone free rein to post images and rely on Community Moderators to remove dodgy/inappropriate posts as it appears they are able to do that. Not likely though.

@Aussie Jeff

Only the posts with an image or more, with the 'Approved/Moved' wording with the time, day and date following it, below the 'Posted at' wording, have been approved by admin. The members that have images in their posts, have had their account certified, to post images without needing approval.

Hot off the bench (earlier this evening) and something I'm quite pleased with. This is the Modelcollect 1/72 E100 Waffentrager with Rheintochter launch pad. The V1 is the Heller Reichenberg with the booster rockets nabbed from the Natter in the same kit. The Tiger Tank is to give a size comparison - the E series tanks would have been massive if ever constructed. This is, of course, a what-if.
