ConfusedRobotCat
Anyone else think it'd be pretty neat if you could get some kinda capsule (maybe 1/2 dry ice 1/2 water) you could slip into an engine's funnel to produce "smoke"? Y'know, instead of having to go all the way over to Live Steam.
LCDR
There is a number of ways to do this which have been about for a long time, and no need to risk freeze burns with dry ice. Triang introduced smoke in 1961./media/tinymce_upload/3f4a3fd54bd7ebf5f9181a43f266d3dd.jpg Later some were fitted with Synchro-smoke with a piston driven by a gear inside the nechanism which puffed smoke from a smoke unit out of the chimney. 96RAF
Folk have even tried using those mist generators used on indoor water features, https://images.app.goo.gl/XkJUg59sY8FH6ppW9
