5Dublo2
Just as an update on the playing of sounds on power up - I updated my A4 to the Loksound decoder and this also sounds the whistle on power up (no settings changes made to the decoder, since installation) As such I am now suspicious that it is the Hornby Select (2.0) that somehow causes the sound However I am not overly concerned by the issue itself as all my TTS working decoders (whether Hornby or 3rd party) do the same thing
96RAF
In that case the Select must have that function still selected. Select it again and put it to off, however it seems unlikely that each and every decoder regardless of make is doing it. I would be trying a reset of the Selec unitt per the manual. This will put all the Select ducks in a row, turning all functions off and making DC running disabled.
