VESPA
Whether this is in the right place I am not sure. I like to use reference photos for some of my alterations to models and found photos of my favourite class the "Britannias" from books and from David Heys website. For those who like to refer to the real items David's site was superb. It remains on the old website for 12 months but then goes to a National Archive. David died in 2018 and his daughters have kept his site going since. Now it is fully transferred to the new site below, as well.https://www.webarchive.org.uk/wayback/archive/20151006102951/http://www.davidheyscollection.com/index.htmThere is a plethora of info there and some of my photos are included from my trainspotting days 55 years ago. The Britannia sections are of particular interest for "Brit" fanatics
Postman Prat
Hi Vespa Trust you are well As you say it was a wonderful website, the only problem being when you go into it you are lost for the rest of the day!! He and I were Novocastrians although we never met - I was on a special which he photographed and I was resident in Hampshire by then.
Howbi
This site also provides hundreds of old railway photos by John Turner..... https://www.flickr.com/photos/blue-diesels/ .......ignore the "blue-diesels" in the address, there are hundreds of steam photos as well as diesels........HB
VESPA
Hello PP. I am fine at present. Still buying books and models after a 3 year lull in train interest.
