tyneside emu
Had a look around the forum but nothing hitting me on the head. I will call the following Error Codes.I'm trying to programes an old Class 91 nice motor no issue's, YET!, when I try to programme it, the select comes up with P5 & P6 it is also consistently giving the 8 flashes treatment. Motor isolated tested it, no probs there, any idea's would be helpful. Hornby manual gives no info as far as I can tell what P5&P6 mean neither does it inform you as to why if it flashes 8 times to you need to reprogramme,I would of assumed there would be a list of Codes in the manual.I also wonder why no info as to why no reasons why 8 is the unlucky number as it appears to me they are aware of it, thru mentioning it in the manual if so, why no help.I also think Hornby need to get a grip, as the soldering on their decoders is so flimsy that the wiring breaks off the decoder when hardwiring (used another one on the 91)would of thought they would of coated in some sort of resin, maybe a sealed unit, to protect the wiring. poliss
That's odd. A search of the manual says that P5 and P6 are what flash when you change points using the accessory decoder.
